hi, i’m whitney.

I’m a passionate person. It’s my best quality, and it extends to all areas of my life. It’s what makes me kind, reflective and enthusiastic. It’s the reason I work hard at everything I do.

I am passionate about people. I love meeting them, talking to them and being social in general. It’s why I love my job. Working in social media is all about experiencing life and sharing it with people.

When something happens in the world, I search social to see what people are saying. When something bad happens, I go to social to grieve with others. When it’s something happy, I go to feel joy with a community of other people.

Working in social media is rewarding. I can connect with people, help them learn about current events, answer their questions and point them toward information they’re looking for. I live to help people and make a difference in the world, and I can achieve both through social media.

Thanks for visiting my website. Feel free to look around!

  1. Just read a article in my local paper named Yes, I have Herpes. What a good article from start to finish. I am a health care provider who went undiagnosed for years for I was a married woman. My Gyn new I had 1 partner, but my husband was not a one partner person. I feel every inch of your feelings but have never felt drawn to expose myself. But how sad that people sent you abusive tweets. So ignorant of them. I do not know if you are Christian obviously those people aren’t, but in the bible Jesus asked the Pharisees who were planning to stone a ” prosititute” if they were without sin, they all walked away without harming her. So shame on them for being hateful. Kudos for a well written and honest article. God Bless You.

  2. Just read your herpes article in the Hamilton Spectator Canada.Thank you for being so brave! Herpes has causes other than genital contact. According to Wikipedia, there are 8 herpes virus types that infect humans: herpes simplex viruses 1 and 2, varicella-zoster virus, EBV (Epstein-Barr virus), human cytomegalovirus, human herpesvirus 6, human herpesvirus 7, and Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus.[7] There are more than 130 herpesviruses,[8] and some are from mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and molluscs!
COLD SORES are caused by herpes simplex virus, and can result in genital herpes if hands are not washed often, and well. The common cold viruses can also be the cause. Please write more.

  3. I too read the article in yesterday’s Tribune. I was diagnosed a few months ago and found it devastating. I had just gotten out of a 5 year monotonous relationship and just started dating someone new. I felt morally obligated to tell her and I did. She took it very well and we are still dating 6 months later and have worked around my STI as best we can, which isn’t all that great. Can you recommend some websites and blogs for educational purposes and support? Thanks.

  4. Thanks. I found it amusing that autocorrect changed monogamous to monotonous. It was the latter and not the former. Thanks very much for the advice and direction.
